Broad bands of oil pastels, in rainbow-like fashion, interpret a sunset in a countryside landscape, showcasing a lone brown wooden telegraph pole. Nothing is as it seems. A red road should be black, a purple field should be brown, a black and red forest should be green, and a brown and yellow sky should be blue or gray. But it works. We know what it all is and it is good.
