A closeup view of dominating and diminutive bridges painted in watercolor hues of dark orange, yellow, and cool copper reflect the waters below and are set in a surreal waterscape. We are left to determine where one colored structure starts and the other ends, where and how the blues of the sky and river flow through, around and/or under the bridges, and whether or not the white buildings stand in or out of the water. On the whole, the scene maintains a clever balance of serenity and liveliness.
