A landscape is subtly rendered in pastels on paper to give a view of a path as it leads out of a dark grove of evergreen trees into the sunlight beyond. We can see we’re at the edge of the forest as the blue sky appears between the tree trunks. It’s like the light at the end of a natural dark tunnel.
