Oil pastels in blacks, golds, reds, and blues, abstractly enhance the movement of people in pirate and period outfits against a background of seawater and green and gold forest vegetation. Set in September, in the state of Maine, the Eastport Pirate Festival celebrates all things pirates, complete with colorful costumes, dance, music, re-enacting of pirate activities, a grand parade, arts, food, camaraderie, and so much more.
