Darkness hides most of the landscape in this depiction of figures headed to a sweat lodge. The surrounding mountaintops are touched with gold as if they were on fire, lit up by the remnants of the setting sun. The solemn procession comes out of the shadows into the red, gold and green valley next to a flowing stream. It’s a serene and sacred ceremonial scene.
